Create a Shipment from an Order
Once you’ve created an order, you can also create a shipment directly from the order. This is an alternative to creating a quote if you already have a carrier that will be taking the load.
Click Create Shipment on the Order Details page.
You can also create a shipment from the Orders Dashboard by selecting the Unassigned orders you’d like to ship, and select Create Shipment.
Note that Unassigned orders are those which have not yet been converted into a shipment, while Assigned orders have already been assigned to a shipment.
The shipment will be created with details of the order(s) selected – including the origin, destination and line items. You can review the shipment details, book your carrier, and schedule your pickup. When selecting the Carrier, you can also opt to email them a shipment notification.
If there is only one contact for the shipment, the default contact for the Carrier will be emailed. If there is more than one contact, you can select the individual to notify.
Review your shipment details, include necessary pickup and drop off contact information, and schedule your freight.
Create a Shipment with multiple Orders
Once your Orders are created, view them on the Orders Dashboard. Use the checkboxes to select the Orders you’d like to ship. Select Create Shipment.
You’ll be taken to a page to continue setting up your shipment. You can re-assign your orders for stops as needed. Drag order numbers to a new stop on this page.
Orders with stops that have the same address, stop type (pickup/delivery) and dates will be merged into the same stop.
