Shipwell is a FreightTech 25 winner for the 2nd consecutive year
We’re proud to announce that Shipwell has been named a 2021 FreightTech 25 Award winner. The award, given by FreightWaves, a leading provider of freight-industry news, honors the 25 most “innovative and disruptive” companies in the market. Shipwell was named in the same category last year and had been awarded a MarketWaves18 “Best in Show.”
The FreightTech 25 are pared down from companies who have been named as winners of FreightTech’s 100 awards. The judges are hand-selected industry leaders; the winners are determined by a simple points system, based on how each voter ranks a company’s performance.
FreightWaves made the announcement on Nov. 6 at its Venture Summit where Shipwell’s CEO Greg Price appeared in a recorded partner session with Dynamo Ventures Managing Partner Ted Alling. Alling asked Price about Shipwell’s origin story, exponential growth and current performance.
Price said when he and President Jason Traff began the company in 2016, their vision was to “connect, automate and optimize the supply chains of the world.” And while that was a “big, audacious goal to shoot for, that’s what we’re executing on today.”
Companies that have adopted Shipwell’s connected shipping platform experience significant efficiencies and cost savings throughout their supply chains. In fact, many have been able to achieve 16% reduced transportation costs within the first 6 months of implementation and a 98% on-time delivery rate.
