Shipwell's VP of Marketing ranks among the top women in the supply chain

Celebrating female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network, Supply & Demand Chain Executive have selected Shipwell's very own VP of Marketing, Jen Cohen as a recipient of their third annual Women in Supply Chain award in recognition of her impactful work and accomplishments in the supply chain this year.

Jen Cohen is the VP of Marketing at Shipwell, a company transforming the supply chain industry with a cloud-based shipping solution that scales with their clients’ business. A veteran marketing professional with years of experience cultivating brand identities with an innovative, forward-thinking approach and attitude, Jen entered into a traditionally stagnant industry with an outsider’s perspective over 2 years ago, becoming a driving force that has helped Shipwell to innovate and disrupt the supply chain industry.

Guided by Jen’s branding expertise and marketing experience, Shipwell has been recognized as the youngest Niche Player in the 2022 Gartner Magic Quadrant, named a Forbes 2020 Next Billion-Dollar Startup and ranked as the fourth fastest growing company in North America on the Deloitte Fast 500. Jen’s work to grow the Shipwell marketing team in the past two years now sees 90% of customers coming in through the marketing pipeline — a rare feat in an industry typically driven by sales. At the same time, her efforts have boosted brand recognition for Shipwell with 6 in 10 potential customers naming the company unaided.

Shipwell is committed to carving out the mid-market supply chain space, and Jen contributes to this mission by bringing her branding and marketing experience from other industries and continuing to drive Shipwell’s disruptor status. Customers come to Shipwell to improve supply chain efficiency and better manage their operations to uncover greater savings around both time and money. Through Jen’s leadership, Shipwell has been able to better meet the needs of these businesses and increased their awareness of how Shipwell’s technology allows them to accomplish their goals.

"In the last two plus years at Shipwell, Jen has helped to carve out a unique space among mid-market shippers in the supply chain, helping customers to find the unique solutions necessary to grow and scale their businesses. These days, when shippers are looking for a solution that fits with the size and need of their operations, they have been able to easily identify Shipwell as their best option, and much of that impact has come directly out of Jen's leadership in the marketing department.

With research that helps to inform brand and product messaging and development, the Shipwell product and marketing teams have a symbiotic relationship in guiding innovation that is directly informed by customer needs and feedback. This focus on determining what ideal supply chain technology will look like for their customers has directly led to the creation of popular key products and features that bring tangible value to them."
